Off the back on the updates. Made it out to Louisville, Kentucky for the first round of the USGP’s.  The course is pretty sweet with some technical off camber sections and even some slick corners in the mud.  There is a flyover as well.

I took last week pretty chill to try to get some legs back so that I could have a good ride here in Louisville, still not feeling it.  My whole body is tired now and I am in need of some good rest.  I got killed yesterday.  Had a descent start and was moving up pretty good, but the punch wasn’t there and I was just one pace.  Hopefully today I can do something better.  I was 19th.  That was my worst finish in two years.  Can’t remember the last time I was back there creeping!

Congratulations to Jeremy Powers making it look easy beating up on the best American cross riders.  He has been flying since Cross Vegas in September and shows no signs of fading.  That is impressive.  Troy Wells, another good ride.  Getting a top 10 at these races is tough with such a stacked field.  Anyway, hope to have some photos and a better update later.

I need to try to catch up on some sleep.  The night in the hotel was brutal.  It sounded like there was a high school track meet going on up on the second floor.  People running around and screaming.  I almost went up stairs to crack some sculls.  More later….
