Deep Powder Always Goes Down Smooth

I made it back to Durango yesterday after a drive that normally takes 8 hours but took 10.5 hours instead. It was epic to say the least. I had to get off the interstate two times to wait for a plow to come by so I could jump in behind it. The on ramps were not even plowed and I had it floored, snow going over the hood, not knowing if I would even make it down the on ramp. It was wild!

I hit up three days of hard skiing in the Tetons. It was awesome and there really is no place like it for great powder. Unbeatable. I had a great time and still know how to ski.  Flickr photos here!

It is great to be home. The cold weather has followed me back to Durango from Idaho. I am starting to get my plans together for training again as I start in the next week or so. Already it has been almost three weeks with no bike. I am ready.

I am going to be heading to the warmer climates. Tucson for a bit to train with Ben Kneller (new Jittery Joe’s teammate) and Corey Collier (Health Net) and any other clowns we can find to ride with us. Then it is off to San Diego to train for a bit. Hopefully with Stevo (Cody Stephenson) and Shirley. Either way, I need to work on my tan so I am heading to somewhere I can ride in jersey and shorts.

Happy New Year everyone!
